A $175 DEPOSIT and a copy of the mare’s pedigree are required with this contract to be placed on our breeding schedule. This deposit will be credited against the balance due when your mare is picked up. If your mare is not paid and picked up 30 days after breeding, Breeder is entitled to lien against the horse for amount due for breeding plus any additional fees for boarding, maintenance and care, and shall enforce lien and sell horse for amount due. Mare will not be released until all expenses are paid in full. Live Foal Guarantee: defined
as a foal that stands & nurses from the mare unassisted.
If the foal miscarries,
is stillborn,
or is unable to stand & nurse, it is not considered a live foal, and the
mare owner is entitled to a re-breeding. This
re-breeding shall take place within 1 year to the same mare unless mutually
agreed upon. Mare owner is entitled to 2 live foal guarantees (total of 3
attempts) after which no guarantee or refund of breeding fees will be given. A Current, Negative Coggins Test is also required on any horse brought to this facility and your animal must be healthy. This is to safeguard all animals on these premises. We are not responsible for any accidents or injuries, but we will care for your animal as we would our own. We will expose your mare every other day until she goes out of her cycle. You are obligated to have your mare pregnancy tested as soon as possible in order to set up another exposure if she does not settle. If she does not settle after the second exposure or fails to birth a live foal, you will be required to have her vet checked and cultured to determine her ability to settle or carry a foal. If she is tested clean and able to breed, we will then continue. If your
mare requires vet attention, we will contact you before any treatment, if
possible, but we will use our best judgment if you are unreachable.
